Pause Menu, Fixes and More


Hello Again, Today I have made these additions, updates and improvements to the game.

  • Add Pause Menu
    • Dummy Data for stats, Items and Abillities
    • Audio Settings can be changed in options
  • Add Phone Functionality
    • Limited to only Movement for now, there is a widget in-game on the middle-left side
  • Fix for collider between wall and wardrobe in dining area
  • Fix for sound clipping in TypeWriterFX
  • Fix for UI scaling in-game
  • Fix for UI not responding to Key presses or game-pad when clicking to an area other than the buttons

The first Version of development was 17 days ago, So far I am half-way done with the basis for everything needed to complete development. I have already completed another map along with 2 variations of it for a future level and 2 Character Sprite-sheets have been made (Using LimeZu's characters Templates). There have been a total of 17 versions which 2 to 3 of them are duplicates and I lack the knowledge to remove them which is rather unfortunate. The new Phone widget feature as well as other compatibility modes for multiple platforms may be temporary not working as intended as I would really like to make it work (Especially for the UI and the Menu/Options in specific) But I am a Junior Games Programmer and this is my first Serious Attempt in developing a good Structured game, These features will be there eventually.  My current Focus will be in The Combat System starting by Implementing the Battle stats (Health,Attack etc). Here is a Few things of my future tasks are that I will be working on:

  • Character Stats
    • Temporary Something that Holds values and has Public Getters and private Setters
    • Will probably have an Interface script so Things can be set and loaded from the combat system
    • For Enemies and non-playable characters there will be a similar approach
  • Inventory System
  • Cutscene Manager
