Phone Compatibility Support and More


Hello Everyone, The following Additions, Fixes and Improvements have been made in the game this week

  • Implementation of Phone Compatibility
    • Accessible via Main Menu Options
    • Saves through playerprefs
    • Can be changed to off in PauseScreen (Cannot exit pause if on Phone without it)
  • Improvements for room lighting through URP
    • Light Scatters better throughout rooms
    • Shadows are better handled
  • Improvements for Audio Manager
    • Plays AudioClips using Index Based List instead of having multiple AudioClip components everywhere.
    • AudioSource components in other parts of scripts are now removed and AudioManager has AudioSource Music and AudioSource Effects.
  • Folders and prefabs now renamed and organised correctly
    •  This fix is not apparent in-game but will enhance development in future episodes
  • Fix for Warnings relating to Shaders
    • Again this is not apparent in-game but it may or may not improve performance
  • Fix for Camera so that the player is offset lower than the camera's centre
  • Adjust game window border so that there is space for PhoneCompatibility

So far nearly all of the systems are done in order to continue development. From now on these are the Systems I will have to work on to continue and finish development.

  • Combat System
    • This will be a turn-based system
    • It will use the stats found in the PauseMenu in the Status window
    • This system will be Managing the Characters and their Abilities as well as their Inventory
    • Expect a very simple early prototype in the beginning with improvements to come
  • Inventory System
    • This system will manage the Inventory of the player, as well as the items that can be acquired and items held by Characters in or out of battle
    • This  will also manage the Abilities and their effects on all characters
    • It will be connected to the battle system to get and set information
    • Abilities might have their own subsystem in the future

I  believe getting rid of all the systems first before adding content is important to stop drawbacks in the future as well as delays and bugs. Please let me know if you find anything game-breaking, even if it is just One room and some dialogues at the moment.
